I'm sorry to get this matter out in public. But maybe it will help me get rid of all the future latent trolls - if it does, it's definitely worth it.

I've received a note recently that I only now bothered to read. I'm not going to drop names. I'm not going to quote anything. But the general gist of it was the following: "You and your art are terrible. Why do you feel fit to insult people with your talentlessness here? All these things should go to scraps or snapshots sections and nowhere else. If I were you, I'd delete them all and go shoot myself." That's pretty precise, except I used milder expressions and better spelling.

Digression: I do understand that this person probably doesn't know shit about art anyway, but he/she has some personality issues and more free time on his/her hands than would be good for him/her. But I still want to answer here. I did not send a note back, because I don't feel like talking to illiterate idiots. But to this person, and all the people like this one who might happen upon my page, I'd like to say the following:

FUCK OFF.

Now, as it happens, I'm not very happy with the amount of photography skills, vision and talent I have. I'll be the first to admit that practically everyone's better than me in this respect.

But.

I do think I'm trying to do art. I do think I did improve since the first time I submitted anything here. And I don't see any reason to delete anything of mine as long as it meets all the requirements listed on this site. My photos are all bigger than 288x432, all taken with intention, especially in regard to color and composition, they are not generally offensive, and where they are suggestive or contain adult themes, they are labeled accordingly.

I might not be Ross Halfin, but people do like some of my shots and manips, so assumptions like ones made in this note pretty much insult them as well. And I can even name one thing that's good about my photos. A friend once told me, "Everyone is alive in your pics. No-one looks artificial and no-one looks dead." To me, it's the most important thing.

I did move some of my stuff to scraps, because it really needed be done, but other then that, I have only one thing to say in small, clear, easily understandable words, loud and distinctly:

I AM NOT GOING ANYWHERE.
